UW-Green Bay Heirloom Plant Sale is Back!

The University of Wisconsin – Green Bay’s Natural and Applied Sciences (NAS) program holds its annual heirloom plant sale through May 15, 2021. The deal is designed to preserve and promote the growth of heirloom plants for the local community. Also, it funded research of undergraduate and graduate students and sponsored the weekly seminar series from NAS.

Fans Back in the Arena

With the world slowly starting to open back up more than a year after COVID-19 first started, it means that there can now be fans in the arena during a sporting event. One of the organizations that are allowing fans into the arena is the Green Bay Blizzard. The Green Bay Blizzard is a professional arena football team at the Resch Center located in Green Bay, right next to Lambeau Field.

Project Linus: A Way to Give Back

Giving back is a great way to be active within the community and gives people the ability to help out someone who may need it. One way that community members give back is through Project Linus. Project Linus is a nonprofit organization that originated in Belton, Missouri, in 1995 that makes and donates blankets to kids all over the United States.

My Voice, My Truth Art Show Seeks LGBTQ+ Artists Submissions for Art

An art show featured at the Art Garage, located at 1400 Cedar Street in Green Bay, is currently looking for art pieces to show in the gallery. Submissions for the show are due on or before May 20, 2021. The My Voice, My Truth art show aims to showcase art specifically from those in the LGBTQ+ community. The brand-new show is meant to bring visibility to a community that some may not be familiar with. Positive Voice, an organization focused on bringing voices to LGBTQ+ individuals, sponsors My Voice, My Truth at The Art Garage.

On Campus Student Job Fair

The job fair at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay has been brought back to “in-person” after a year of being entirely virtual. Students have the chance to speak to different university departments’ heads in person again this year.
