Gather your friends and get ready for a beat-iful night of free popcorn and giving back. Green Bay native and talented rapper, TeawhYB (“Through Every Action, Who Has Your Back?”) is coming to campus for a benefit concert March 27.
The Green Bay Phoenix Optimist Club is one of the sponsors welcoming TeawhYB and KISS FM DJ, Drizzle Drake to campus for a concert on the first Friday back from Spring Break. Phoenix Optimists are helping raise money for the Courage House – a safe house for displaced LGBTQ+ youth.
First Weekend Back from Break!
There will be free popcorn, as well as root beer floats for sale to kick off the first weekend back after Spring Break. Treat yourself to a t-shirt sold at the event and escape your pile of homework for the night.
In addition to the Optimist Club, the event is sponsored by the Pride Center, Center for Suicide Awareness, UWGB Healthy Choices Task Force, Willow Creek Behavioral Health, and student organization You Me Us. The concert will be held in the Phoenix Rooms in the Union from 7-to-11PM. The Optimist Club is trying to fill all 500 seats for the Courage House.
JUST $5 for students; $9.50 for guests! Bring all your friends and celebrate with TeawhYB and Drizzle Drake. Check out his music before the show so you are ready to rock.
Watch for posters around campus and get updates on The Optimist Club’s Instagram. Let’s show TeawhYB what it means to be a Phoenix and give back to youth in Wisconsin.
