The thought of working from home can be exciting: You imagine waking up early, having a healthy breakfast and logging on for a productive day of work, but we all know that’s not always how it goes.
Expectation: Having a healthy breakfast.
Reality: Eating whatever leftovers you can find in your fridge and slamming down some coffee to wake up because you stayed up too late playing video games.
Expectation: Spending some quality time with your pets.
Reality: Your pet won’t leave you alone making it impossible to get work done.

Annoying Reality
Expectation: Having a productive day of getting all your work done plus working ahead.
Reality: You wrote the first sentence of a paper that’s due this week and have no motivation to keep going.

In Reality…
Expectation: You get in a nice at home workout and feel great.
Reality: You left the couch twice to get snacks.
Expectation: You get dressed in nice clothes to make yourself feel more productive.
Reality: You’re wearing the same sweatpants from yesterday and that sweatshirt with the pocket falling off.

Reality = Comfy
Working from home can be great, but it might take some adjusting to get used to your new routine. Just remember to focus on the task at hand and give it your best shot….ALWAYS!
