Looks Good, too

Not only does The COMM Voice sound good, it looks good too. To help with the “look” and the production, The COMM Voice has named Mackenzie May and Samiirah Nur as Production Editors.

Mackenzie with Greta Van Susteren

COMM Major Mackenzie was recently promoted to Evening Digital Producer at WLUK-TV FOX 11. She had been working on WLUK’s Top Rated, Good Day Wisconsin morning show. Mackenzie’s emphases include Journalism, Public Relations, Social Media Strategies, and Sports Communication. She wants to pursue a sports reporting career.

You can follow her journey on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

Samiirah will be back in San Francisco this summer for an internship.

While some call Samiirah Nur a perfectionist, she thinks of herself as an idealist trapped inside the mind of a realist. This idealism is what provides her with the motivation and vision to deliver high-quality content. An Organizational COMM Major, Samiirah has campaigned for several political action committees during the last few election cycles. She’s also pursuing a minor in Global Studies and a Non-Profit Management Certificate.  She is passionate about advocating for the rights of the disenfranchised. Did someone say college students? Ultimately, she aims to work in the non-profit sector.

Among the many duties of The COMM Voice Production Editors: Helping make the content sound good – and look good – is a BIG one.
